Stories of Love on the Frontier
After six years of guerilla warfare along the Kansas-Missouri border and four more years of bloody conflict in the Civil War, Kansas became what we today call the Wild West. The names of towns like Abilene, Wichita, and Dodge City evoke cattle drives and gunfights. But wherever there are men and women, there are love stories.
I try to tell them.
